Pima County Same-Day Arrest Limits
The Pima County Sheriff's Department posts no page labeled as a 24-hour arrest feed. There is no recent-bookings list or new-bookings log either. Its site does offer an inmate lookup, jail and court information, and records-request routes. None of those gives a rolling same-day table with a posting time or refresh rule. That gap is real. No online list can honestly claim to show every person booked in Pima County today. The Pima County arrest log covers the separate multi-day trail you can follow.
The best official substitute is the current-custody search for the Pima County Adult Detention Complex. It can surface a person during intake and while custody continues. It will not tell you when the arrest occurred, though, and names drop off after release. PCSD also runs the Ajo District Jail. The public lookup centers on current custody at the main detention center. A missing name calls for more digging, not a quick verdict.
Check Pima County Arrests Today
Match the source to your question. The roster answers whether someone sits in PCADC custody right now. The Tucson activity view only shows that an incident happened somewhere in an area. Jail Records can pull a specific booking file. Each record answers a different question. No single screen rolls them into one same-day arrest report.
- Open the official PCSD Inmate Lookup and enter at least two letters of the person's last name.
- Compare every plausible match by name, age, booking, location, reference, court, and bond fields.
- If no match appears, allow for intake lag, release, transfer, a citation without jail booking, or a spelling mismatch.
- Call the Adult Detention Complex at (520) 351-8111 for custody questions, or use the Jail Records message line at (520) 351-8228.
- Send a targeted jail-record request when exact booking-file information is needed.
A city arrest does not always land in the county jail. Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, and other agencies might cite and release. They might transfer the person, or book at PCADC. The arresting agency keeps the police report; PCSD controls the jail record. The Pima County recent-arrests hub sorts out the roster, the records, and court outcomes. For a direct search, the official PCSD roster screen offers the surname-based current-custody route.

The PCSD inmate search page displays the surname form that drives the current-custody lookup. It is the right starting point. It is not a list of today's bookings.
Pima County Arrest View Fields
With no official 24-hour table, these fields reflect what the live PCSD lookup can actually expose. The roster result is thin. Think of it as one public layer of a fuller jail file.
| Roster field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name and age | Identity clues for comparing same-surname results, not proof of conduct. |
| Booking | A booking reference, not a guaranteed arrest timestamp. |
| Location | Custody placement, which can differ from the arrest location. |
| Total bond | The displayed total at that point; court action can change it. |
| Reference and court | Details that can route a later case-status check. |
| Bond type and amount | Release-condition data, not a conviction or sentence. |
| Photo | No booking photo appeared in the reviewed public roster. |
| Charge and exact time | Not clear in the simple result; seek a jail report or court record. |
PCSD says the roster can hold sentenced people, people held for other jurisdictions, and people awaiting trial. That mix makes it useless for counting new Pima County arrests. Someone listed today may have been booked weeks ago. Someone booked and released fast may already be gone.
Tucson's Twelve-Hour Activity View
Tucson offers the closest thing to a real-time city source. It is not a booking list, though. Police materials describe a dashboard covering the prior 12 hours, refreshed every 30 minutes. It maps calls, broad locations, and call types, and leaves out person-level details. A call does not mean an arrest happened. Even when one follows, the view names no one and shows no booking photo. The Tucson Police dashboard explanation documents those limits.

Read the screen for timing and place, then turn to PCSD or the police records unit for a name. A call, an arrest, and a booking are three separate events. A call can close with no arrest. An arrest can end in citation and release. A booking may come later, after transport and intake. The county roster only helps at that last custody stage.
Pima Arrest Photos Changed in 2024
The PCSD lookup displays no booking photo today. Arizona Public Media reported that PCSD stopped releasing inmate booking photos and pulled its booking tab in September 2024. Old search results and saved pages may still reflect the former system. They prove nothing about current policy.
The jail-record page still carries photo-fee language. That language promises no specific image. Ask Jail Records or Records Maintenance about the file and today's rules. No booking-photo gallery appears here, and no images of arrested people are rehosted.
PCSD Arrest Alerts Are Selective
The official iOS app carries department news, safety notices, and selected updates. PCSD social channels offer the same. Neither is a booking archive. The App Store history once described an inmate feature with images. That text predates the booking-photo change. A version-history line cannot tell you what the live app shows now. The PCSD iOS app listing shows the department's own mobile channel.

The App Store listing confirms the official publisher; it settles nothing about current roster or photo content. Social posts share the same limit. They may explain a major case while skipping every other arrest. A post can linger online long after custody changes. Treat each one as a dated statement. Then verify present custody with PCSD and the outcome with the court.
Request a Pima Booking Record
Sometimes the online roster simply cannot settle a same-day question. That is when a direct records request becomes the dependable path. Keep the request focused. Include a full name and date of birth. Add any inmate name number or booking number you have. Add the custody unit if you know it. Also include a plain description of the record you want. Stick to facts you can verify rather than guesses.
Mail jail-record requests to Adult Detention Complex, Attn: Jail Records Requests, 1270 W. Silverlake Road, Tucson, AZ 85713. The message line is (520) 351-8228. PCSD Records Maintenance sits at 1650 E. Benson Highway, Suite C, Tucson, AZ 85714-1758. Reach it at (520) 351-4650 or PublicRecordsRequest@sheriff.pima.gov. The custodian routes Pima County requests to jail records or police records. Whichever agency holds the file receives it.
Ask for the record itself, not a conclusion. A booking that vanishes from the roster does not mean no arrest occurred. Release, transfer, a city citation, intake lag, a different site, or search rules can all hide an entry. Exact charges and outcomes live in the police report and the court file.
Pima Arrest Charges Are Accusations
A Pima County arrest and booking record documents a custody event. Treat it as an administrative snapshot, nothing more. Charges can change shape as a case moves through court. Bond is simply a release condition. A roster disappearance is not a disposition. A VINELink check adds release or transfer alerts after the initial search. Court records remain the source for filings and final outcomes.
